Goals

Goals while living in Hawaii:

While living in Hawaii, Kyle and I cooked together some overall goals that we wanted to accomplish together and separately--although this is obviously going to be more from my standpoint on the individual side of all of these goals. Both of us are hell-bent on making life after Hawaii much more comfortable than how it is now, and both of us are excited to get started, all the while developing long-lasting memories while we are here.

Hawaii is a paradise--a wonderful place to vacation and to kick back and relax.  However, I have heard a few things and over the course of the next three years, I hope to prove that the rumors are just that--rumors!

Since we are technically a military family (so to speak), we are expecting a lot of moves in our future.  While we are here, money is a huge object.  While I will discuss my housing troubles (because we chose off-post housing), we are making plans to strictly budget and save as much as we can.  We did our math and if we save correctly, we should leave the island with approximately 40,000 dollars in savings...and that is just what Kyle is supposed to save with all the money the military is giving him to live off-base.  So, that doesn't even count what I am going to save! (i'm sure I will post my budget and copies of my receipts on some occasions, along with recipes and fun little things to do--considering my  PLANS don't get in the way!  Lol!)

Another goal of mine is to finally get back in shape.  I'm striving to be that 130 pound lean ball of muscle I was when I was 18.  Luckily for me, Kyle shares the same want to get back in shape, so I am going to have a great--and sometimes very pushy--form of motivation.  One thing Hawaii offers is trails and nature walks, so I will be able to hike with my pooch Diesel, as well as get in shape and spend a wonderful day with my small, loving family.  Referring to the last paragraph, I'm sure I will share a couple of recipes that I enjoy while I continue a strenuous workout regimen.  Hopefully I will find some friends to work out with as well (:

The third goal...SCHOOL.  I have wanted to be a veterinarian since I was a little girl, I am going to take advantage of it while I can.  I'm doing it in a very roundabout way, but I can't wait to get started...it's going to take a couple of months to get it off the ground but I am confident that things are going to pan out pretty well...especially when Kyle is going to be taking a few courses himself.

I'm sure I am going to update this at some point.  Many more goals are going to blossom as soon as I get my house and my job rolling.... Keep checking in for updates!!!!
